The project's kick off meeting took place o the 8th of June 2022 in Athens.The meeting was hosted by Creative Thinking Development.

ENCOURAGE project aims to develop  Courses for Sustainable Waste Management for Municipalities as well as for VET education.The implementation of developed courses for sustainable waste management will provide recognition of knowledge and skills for appropriate handling with all waste types by the participants.

During this meeting the partners from Poland , The Republic of North Macedonia, Slovenia, Greece and Cyprus , presented their organization. The Project Result 1: Benchmarking analysis of skills and competences, needs and challenges for Sustainable Waste Management and Project Result 2:Qualification profile for Waste management specialist with the use of NQF/EQF levels were presented and partners discussed Result 1 and Result 2 activities and set some deadlines. The partners also discussed the dissemination plan.
